Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Providing accurate contact and delivery information;
- Providing suitable premises for machine installation;
- Ensuring appropriate electrical power and infrastructure;
- Providing appropriate ventilation and safety conditions;
- Following manufacturer and Geotech instructions;
- Using the machine only for its intended purpose;
- Ensuring that operators receive appropriate training;
- Maintaining the machine according to applicable instructions.
Machine Safety
Industrial machinery, laser equipment, and CNC equipment may present safety risks if used incorrectly.
Customers must follow all applicable safety instructions, manufacturer documentation, warnings, and operating procedures.
Geotech is not responsible for damage caused by improper use, unauthorized modification, unsafe operation, negligence, or failure to follow applicable instructions, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Installation and Training
Where installation or training is included in the order, the scope of those services will be specified in the applicable quotation or agreement.
The customer must ensure that the installation location is prepared and accessible.
Additional visits or work caused by an unsuitable installation environment may be subject to additional charges where agreed or permitted.
Warranty
Products may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty or a warranty provided under the applicable sales agreement.
Warranty coverage may vary depending on:
- Product;
- Manufacturer;
- Machine model;
- Components;
- Type of defect;
- Customer's use and maintenance.
Warranty does not generally cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, accidents, improper installation, improper maintenance, or failure to follow operating instructions, subject to applicable law and the specific warranty terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Geotech shall not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from improper use of equipment, business interruption, loss of production, loss of profits, or damage caused by circumstances outside Geotech's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Intellectual Property
The Geotech name, logo, website content, photographs, text, graphics, and other materials provided by Geotech are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
