DIY KIT MK2
What it does / why you’d use it:
- Enables engraving on curved surfaces rather than just flat sheets.
- Let's you wrap text/designs around cylinders.
- Expands the kinds of items you can work on (not just flat boards).
- On the Algo Laser accessories page, the “Rotary Roller (RR2)” is listed as a compatible accessory.
The “Honeycomb Platform” is a dedicated accessory that supports the engraver by providing an elevated grid bed structure with ventilation/slots. From the product page:
- It helps protect the desktop from damage.
- It reduces smoke stains from laser engraving: the smoke from the square slot will flow out, reducing yellowing/staining.
- So if you’re engraving with the 10 W machine (especially materials that produce smoke or residue), the honeycomb bed is a good addition for cleaner results and safer material handling.
